Essential electrical works to energise Australia’s largest tunnel segment precast facility – enabling continuous delivery of tunnel linings for the Snowy 2.0 mega project.

As part of Snowy 2.0’s enabling infrastructure, a purpose-built precast yard was established at Polo Flat, Cooma to manufacture the concrete tunnel lining segments required for the 27 kilometres of underground works. The facility is designed to produce more than 130,000 concrete segments over the life of the project.

PHE Group was engaged by the FGJV to deliver full electrical and instrumentation services across the yard. This included power and lighting systems for critical plant, support infrastructure, and production assets – all completed within a compressed delivery timeframe to align with tunnel boring machine (TBM) mobilisation.
