Careers that grow with you

Graduate

At PHE Group, graduation is just the beginning

Our Graduate Program offers a direct path into full-time roles aligned to your field of study – whether that’s engineering, project delivery, or operations. Some come through the cadet pathway, others take a more direct route. We welcome both. We also bring graduates into key areas of the business including recruitment, finance, commercial, and engineering.

You won’t just be placed into a role. You’ll be trusted with real responsibility, backed by mentoring that matters, and supported by a team that values long-term growth. Whether you’ve been on-site with us already or you’re stepping into your first role, if you’re ready to contribute – there’s a place for you here.

Cadets

Our Cadet Program opens the door for university students to gain real-world experience while they study, bridging the gap between theory and practice.

It’s a hands-on, structured pathway into engineering, project delivery, and operations – designed around field exposure, development opportunities, and mentoring from experienced leaders. We offer placements across metro and regional projects, with the flexibility to work around study commitments.

Many of our cadets stay on as graduates – and grow into future leaders from there. This is learning that sticks. Work that counts. And a career that starts now.

Apprenticeship Programs

The legacy of PHE Group lives in the people who build it – and those still learning to do so.

We see apprenticeships as purposeful beginnings: an investment in regional capability, practical learning, and the discipline needed for high-performance work.

More than 400 apprentices have come through our program. Over 50 are currently active, with 18 already commenced in 2025. Nearly half of our managers began their careers this way – a reflection of our long-term mindset, mentoring culture, and loyalty to our people.

Our approach is structured but personal – combining clear development pathways with real-world learning and mentoring that sticks. Every apprentice is backed to contribute meaningfully and grow with confidence.

That commitment has earned national recognition. In 2022, Kieran Cairns was named Industrial Apprentice of the Year at the NECA Excellence Awards. In 2023, Harry Francis was awarded NSW Apprentice of the Year. Both built their skills under long-serving PHE mentors – a reminder of what’s possible when talent is given room to grow.

These experiences have shaped a delivery model that is locally embedded, people-driven, and built for long-term value.
