Visy’s Tumut Mill is a cornerstone of Australia’s paper manufacturing sector. Over decades of collaboration, PHE Group has supported ongoing maintenance at the site, helping secure the reliability and growth of this major regional operation.

PHE's connection to Visy’s Tumut Mill stretches back more than two decades, beginning with the construction of Stage 1 in January 2000. Our team played a key role in the electrical and instrumentation works that brought the mill online in late 2001, returning again to deliver Stage 2 in 2009.

Since that time, PHE has been a constant presence on site, growing from an eight-person crew in the early days to a 21-strong permanent team today. Split across pulp and paper operations, our people provide round-the-clock coverage. We manage day-to-day reliability while delivering longer-term asset upgrades, mill-wide shutdown support, integration of new process lines, and continual improvements to site systems and compliance.

The Tumut Mill is one of the largest and most advanced pulp and paper operations in Australia. Its 24/7 operation underpins Visy’s national packaging network and is integral to Australia’s circular economy. Maintaining reliability in such a high-output, self-contained industrial ecosystem demands deep site knowledge, disciplined execution, and a trusted partner invested in long-term performance.
