When Newcrest’s Cadia Valley Operations achieves nameplate capacity, the Cadia East Gold Mine will treat 27 million tonnes of ore per annum for a predicted output of around 800,000 ounces of gold. It will be the largest underground mine in Australia and one of the largest gold mines in the world.
PHE has been involved as the major E&I (Electrical & Instrumentation) contracting company for the site providing the installation and commissioning of the crushing and ore handling systems along with ancillary equipment.
Our team of project managers, supervisors, HSEQ team, schedulers, leading hands and electricians have been the key to delivering a safe, on time and quality project to our customer Newcrest.
The project was delivered with a zero LTI rate.
The project included installation of cable support systems, High Voltage Switchgear and Reticulation system, Low Voltage cabling, MCC installations and Fibre Optic cabling.
The Cadia Valley is located approximately 25km from the city of Orange in NSW.
